The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships 2026 supports high-calibre international students who wish to study in Ireland at NFQ levels 9 or 10 (master’s, postgraduate diploma or PhD). The programme funds 60 scholarships each year for one year of full-time study, including a stipend and a full fee waiver at the host Irish higher education institution.

Eligibility
Applicants must have a domiciliary of origin outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom and must have a conditional or final offer of admission to an eligible Irish higher education institution for a master’s, postgraduate diploma or PhD programme. Prior GOI-IES recipients are not eligible.
Application
Applicants must apply for admission to a master’s, postgraduate diploma or PhD programme in an eligible Irish institution and submit the GOI-IES application with proof of admission.
