About this opportunity

The EU in Nigeria Short Film Competition invites Nigerian youth to create a short film of up to 3 minutes reflecting the theme Being a Nigerian Youth. It is run in partnership with the Zuma International Film Festival, the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria, and ECOWAS. Winners receive cash prizes and gain visibility and networking opportunities at a major Nigerian film festival.

Benefits & funding

Cash prizes for winners (Winner ₦1.5 million, First Runner-Up ₦750,000, Second Runner-Up ₦500,000); additional benefits include visibility, networking opportunities, and recognition at the Zuma International Film Festival.

Eligibility

Open to Nigerian youth between the ages of 20 and 35 years; entries must be original works and not exceed 3 minutes.
