About this opportunity
The FRIAS Sustainable Governance Senior Fellowship Programme invites researchers based in Africa with a completed doctoral degree and extensive post-doctoral experience to conduct research at the University of Freiburg. Fellows have access to the university's resources and academic community, with the aim of developing innovative research on sustainable governance. The programme lasts six months and supports researchers to carry out their own research projects while in Freiburg.
Benefits & funding
Fellows conduct their own research projects, receive a research cost contribution, a mobility allowance and travel costs for inbound and outbound journeys, and gain access to the resources and academic community of the University of Freiburg.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a completed doctoral degree and have at least eight years of post-doctoral experience, be based in an African country, and conduct research in Humanities or Social Sciences with a thematic focus on sustainable governance. A letter of cooperation from an academic partner at the University of Freiburg is required.
