Chinese Government Scholarships 2026/2027 for young South Africans to study in China (Fully Funded)

The Chinese Government Scholarships program offers financial support for South African students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Chinese institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year, including non-degree Chinese language studies. Postgraduate programs are taught in English, while bachelor’s programs are taught in Chinese. The Department of Higher Education in South Africa nominates candidates for these scholarships, which cover tuition, accommodation, stipends, and related costs.

Tuition, accommodation, monthly stipend, medical insurance, return and midterm airfares, visa costs, orientation, and psychosocial support.

South African citizens in good health with a strong academic record (minimum 60% average) and availability to study in China from September 2026.

Submit required documents via email using the DHET application process; include the DHET application form and supporting documents by the deadline.
