West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) Research Fellowship Programme 2025 for young Researchers

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) Research Fellowship Programme is a six-month hybrid research fellowship designed for young researchers focusing on civil society in West Africa. Fellows produce publishable reports or policy documents, contribute to ongoing research, and gain hands-on research experience and networking opportunities. The fellowship supports researchers who are pursuing topics related to civil society in the region.

Hands-on research experience, production of publishable reports or policy documents, networking opportunities, and potential influence on civil society policy and practice in West Africa.

Open to current master’s or PhD students and/or graduates who completed their master’s or PhD studies within the last two years. Applicants should be able to communicate fluently in English and/or French.

Submit motivation letter detailing duration and theme, curriculum vitae, a synopsis of the proposed theme, and an authored article or paper sample.
