This is a PhD scholarship funded by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation under the Governance for Development in Africa Initiative (GDAI), administered as part of SOAS Centre of African Studies. It invites African nationals to pursue PhD research focused on governance, state capacity and development, within designated SOAS departments. Applicants must provide academic documents and a research proposal, and the scholarship is fully funded for the PhD studies.

Eligibility

PhD candidates in Development Studies, Law, Economics, International Relations/Politics, CISD, DEFIMS, or Distance Learning: Centre for Financial and Management Studies (CEFIMS) at SOAS are eligible.
