Information

The DHS Fellows Program is a fellowship funded by USAID designed to increase the capacity of countries to analyze DHS Program data. It targets university faculty teams to conduct research using DHS data and to strengthen capacity at their home universities through training and dissemination activities. Each fellow receives a $3,000 honorarium and economy airfare plus lodging for two in-person workshops, with additional provisions as described in the program materials.

Eligibility

Applications are accepted from university faculty teams comprising two members from the same university who teach and/or conduct research in demography, public health, economics, sociology, or other social sciences.

Application

Submit a single joint application containing a completed team application form, a 3-4 page research proposal, a 1-2 page plan for internal capacity strengthening, curriculum vitae with references, and proof of status as current faculty at the home university.
