Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships

The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) are a doctoral-level scholarship program funded by the Government of Canada, aimed at attracting world-class doctoral students. The scholarships support doctoral studies (PhD or combined MA/PhD or MD/PhD) at eligible Canadian universities. Tenable only at the nominating Canadian institution, the awards finance doctoral study with significant research components.

Annual stipend of $50,000 for three years plus eligibility for eligible health and education benefits as defined by the program

Applicants must be pursuing their first doctoral degree and be nominated by a Canadian institution with a quota; they may be international candidates eligible for nomination.
