Vigdís Prize for Women’s Empowerment 2026

The Vigdís Prize for Women’s Empowerment 2026 is an annual prize awarded by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in partnership with the Government of Iceland. It recognises outstanding individuals, organisations or initiatives that have demonstrated significant commitment to empowering women and girls and advancing gender equality. The prize includes a monetary award of €60,000 and a trophy, and the 2026 ceremony is planned for Strasbourg on 22 June 2026.

Nominations may be submitted for individuals or civil society groups; current members of PACE are not eligible.
