Regional Community Organizing Institute 2026

The West Africa Regional Community Organizing Institute (COI) is a training and capacity development program hosted by Yiaga Africa with support from the National Endowment for Democracy. It brings together approximately 30-35 mid-career practitioners from West Africa to strengthen civic activism, policy advocacy, and democratic practices, with new themes including negotiation, transnational organizing, and building networks and coalitions.

Participation costs are covered; access to training and capacity development; networking with practitioners and leaders in democracy and development.

Applicants must be from and reside in one of the West African countries, be not more than 30 years old at the start of the training in August 2026, and actively work in democracy and development. Female applicants and persons living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
