University of the Witwatersrand & University of Edinburgh Masters by Research Sustainable African Futures 2026

The MSc by Research Sustainable African Futures is a Master by Research programme offered by the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Edinburgh. It provides structured research training, opportunities to undertake specialist research training through courses and sustainability schools, and an independent 18,000-word dissertation. The programme covers fees and includes support for sustainability schools in Johannesburg, travel, accommodation, and other resources to enable advanced research in sustainability within African contexts.
