International Press Institute Transition Accelerator 2026

The International Press Institute Transition Accelerator is an eight-month programme for independent media organizations to develop innovative solutions in audience engagement, revenue generation, and product development. It provides funding, mentorship, training, and practical tools to strengthen sustainability and resilience of participating outlets. The 2026 edition offers a structured package including funding and an in-person bootcamp in Vienna, along with ongoing coaching and access to learning resources.

Up to €25,000 funding, three-day in-person bootcamp in Vienna, organizational needs assessment, weekly workshops, personalized coaching, peer learning, access to exclusive learning resources, and a long-term professional network.

Independent investigative journalism organizations and local newsrooms are invited to apply.
