Joanna and Graham Barker Fellowship Scheme 2026–2027

The Joanna and Graham Barker Fellowship Scheme 2026–2027 offers two fully funded postdoctoral fellowships hosted by the British Library. The programme is designed for early-career researchers to work with the Library on interdisciplinary projects in cultural heritage, archives, and AI-related discovery, with a 12-month duration beginning in September 2026. Fellows will collaborate with curators, archivists and research teams, gaining professional development and access to world-class archival collections.

Applicants are invited to co-design a research project with the British Library based on one of two specialist themes and apply through the official fellowship channels
