DIANA Challenges for 2027

The Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) announces its 2027 Challenges, a global call for innovators to develop breakthrough technologies in defence, security, and dual-use applications. The programme funds, mentors, and tests solutions through a multi-stage acceleration pathway, with opportunities for further funding and pathways to defence adoption. Selected innovators join a structured process to advance from proposal to demonstration and potential procurement pathways with NATO and allied partners.

Direct funding, access to NATO-aligned defence ecosystem, high-level validation facilities, rapid testing environments, investment and scaling opportunities, and potential defence procurement pathways.

Open to startups, SMEs, and private technology companies; universities and non-profit organizations are not eligible as primary applicants.

Submit business and technical proposals through the official DIANA application process, including short and long-form submissions and a virtual panel presentation.
