USC POIR Predoctoral Summer Institute 2026

The USC POIR Predoctoral Summer Institute is a fully funded academic development program hosted by USC’s Department of Political Science and International Relations. It supports first-generation undergraduates, master’s students, and law students who are considering pursuing doctoral studies in political science and related social science disciplines. The three-day institute provides direct access to faculty mentors, current PhD students, application guidance, and insights into doctoral education, with travel, accommodation, and meals covered for selected participants.
