DSAC Bursaries for Heritage Related Studies 2026

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture invites applications for bursaries for tertiary students to pursue heritage-related studies. Fields of study include archaeology, geography and GIS, archives and library sciences, conservation, heritage management, history, and related subjects. The bursary provides coverage of study fees, books, equipment, and accommodation and meals up to specified limits, with funds paid directly to the higher education institution.

South African citizenship; not older than 40 years; full-time student; academically satisfactory (65%); field of study must be heritage-related; not employed full-time in government or related sectors with high salary.
