Canada’s STEP Program 2026: Paid Green Jobs and Wage Subsidies for Youth and Employers in Natural Resources

The Science and Technology Employment Programme (STEP) is a Canadian employment initiative that connects youth with paid, hands-on work experience in natural resource sectors, supported by wage subsidies for employers. It targets young people interested in sustainability, environmental innovation, mining, forestry, clean energy, and earth sciences, and provides industry-relevant training, mentorship, and networking opportunities while advancing Canada’s green economy.
