About this opportunity
The AIR–AERC 2026 Impact Evaluation Faculty Retooling Workshop is a high-level training opportunity organized to enhance the skills of African researchers and academic faculty in evaluating social and economic policies. The six-day, face-to-face workshop in Nairobi, Kenya covers advanced topics in impact evaluation, combining lectures with practical sessions and using Stata. Facilitators include scholars from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, American Institutes for Research, and UNICEF Office of Research – Innocenti.
Eligibility
National of an African country, PhD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or related field, teaching faculty at an African university and/or an early-career researcher, with publications in peer-reviewed outlets, strong quantitative skills, and proficiency with household survey data.
