McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowships 2027

The McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowships Scheme 2027 is a three-year, full-time research-focused fellowship offered by the University of Melbourne. It supports exceptional early-career researchers from around the world to conduct advanced, interdisciplinary research in a dynamic environment, with institutional support and resources. Up to 16 fellowships are awarded annually across multiple disciplines, with dedicated funding for research activities and mentorship opportunities.

Salary and benefits, up to AUD 25,000 research grant, institutional support, access to research infrastructure, mentorship and career development opportunities.

Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and have completed all PhD requirements on or after 1 April 2023; both Australian and international applicants are eligible. Current Melbourne staff may apply under certain contract conditions.

Two-stage process: express of interest (EOI) via SmartyGrants followed by a full application by invitation.
