About this opportunity
The Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Programme offers a highly competitive, fully funded entry point into international development within the United Nations system. It is designed for young professionals and provides hands-on UN experience, exposure to policy processes, and structured training and mentoring. The 2026 JPO in Programme Management is hosted with support from the Government of the Netherlands and coordinated through the Nedworc Foundation, with placements in the United Nations system and related offices.

Eligibility
Applicants must be 32 years or younger by 31 December of the application year and hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration, International Relations, Business Management or a closely related field (or a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience). Citizens from Africa, Asia & Middle East, and other developing regions are encouraged to apply.
