ICRW Awards 2026: Paula Kantor Award & Mariam K. Chamberlain Dissertation Award for Global Gender Research Leaders

The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) has opened applications and nominations for two global awards: the Paula Kantor Award and the Mariam K. Chamberlain Dissertation Award. The awards recognize researchers and scholars advancing gender equality, social inclusion, and women’s empowerment, and provide recognition and funding to support their work.

Cash prize for the Paula Kantor Award and a total award sum for the Mariam K. Chamberlain Dissertation Award, along with academic visibility and support.

Paula Kantor Award is for women under 40 who are citizens of low- or middle-income countries and conduct research on gender equity and women’s empowerment; the work must contribute to closing evidence gaps in gender and development and use robust methodologies.

Candidates must be nominated by a third party. Submissions should include a completed nomination form, a questionnaire, CV, and biography. Applications for the dissertation award include specific eligibility criteria and documentation as outlined by ICRW.
