About this opportunity
The SAHRI Fellowship is a three-year training pathway designed to empower 12 mid-career biomedical and clinical researchers from sub-Saharan Africa to become leaders in biomedical innovation and clinical research. The programme is fully funded and structured into academic, placement, and return-home phases, including a Master of Science in Tropical Medicine and internships at partner institutions and BioNTech. Fellows pursue a career development track with opportunities for further PhD study and regional impact.

Eligibility
Applicants must be nationals of a sub-Saharan African country and hold a university degree equivalent to a Master’s, with interest in infectious disease research aligned to EDCTP priorities. Applicants should have institutional support to take leave and a clear plan to advance health research in Africa.
