Fully Funded PhD Fellowship in Development Studies at Oslo Metropolitan University

Oslo Metropolitan University is offering a fully funded PhD fellowship in Development Studies starting 1 September 2026. The position is hosted within the Department of International Studies and Interpreting and focuses on development, power, inequality, and related Global South issues. The fellowship lasts three years (potentially extended to four with teaching or administrative duties) and includes access to professional development opportunities and a structured PhD program.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (120 ECTS) in Development Studies or a related discipline, have a B or higher on their Master’s thesis or equivalent, and demonstrate strong research and analytical skills. Proficiency in English or a Scandinavian language is required.
