About this opportunity

UN Women, under the WYDE initiative, invites civil society and women’s rights organizations to submit proposals that advance women’s full and effective political participation. The call funds projects with a total envelope of about USD 1,000,000, awarding USD 45,000–150,000 per grant for 12–22 months. Proposals should align with priorities such as leadership capacity, mentorship, social norms change, and feminist movement strengthening.

Benefits & funding

Funding per award ranges from USD 45,000 to USD 150,000. Projects are 12–22 months in length; agreements signed by 28 February 2026; all projects end by 31 December 2027.

Eligibility

Legally registered non-governmental organization with 3+ years of experience in women’s leadership/political participation; audited financial statements for the last 3 years; single-country implementation in an ODA-eligible country; acceptance of UN Women terms and anti-fraud standards; no sanctions or ongoing investigations.
