Reporting Internal Displacements in Africa with Diaspora Africa’s Migration Media Hub 2025

Diaspora Africa, in collaboration with IOM Nigeria and the Embassy of Sweden in Abuja, offers a one-day hybrid training for young African journalists focused on reporting internal displacement in Africa. The program aims to build ethical, trauma-informed storytelling and to connect participants within a pan-African network of migration-focused media professionals.

Participation in a training program, access to resources and research tools, membership in a pan-African network of migration-focused media professionals, opportunity to pitch and produce a post-training story.

Open to young African journalists or writers aged 23–35; Abuja residents who can attend in person (transport stipends available); virtual applicants from across Africa may apply.
