Scholarship Opportunities for Master’s and PhD Studies at Stellenbosch University

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Stellenbosch University, in partnership with the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, offers a limited number of full-time scholarships for Master’s (100% research) or PhD studies in specified research areas. The scholarships provide financial support for graduate-level study and research over the indicated durations. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong academic merit and relevant background in the listed fields.

Financial support for study and research as specified; includes stipend amounts for the duration of the degree

Applicants must have a minimum of 75% in the previous degree; age limits are 30 for Master’s and 35 for PhD; applicants need not be registered or have a supervisor but should check supervisor availability.
