Information

This is a call for proposals to fund applied RD&D of AI solutions that accelerate energy technology innovation in Canada. The program supports projects addressing AI-enabled energy solutions, with the aim to lower costs and improve efficiency, and to promote Canadian energy data accessibility and security.

Benefits

Projects may receive up to 75% of total project costs; minimum government contribution is $500,000 and maximum is $1,500,000. Funding covers a period from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2030.

Eligibility

Eligible Canadian recipients include legal entities registered in Canada (for-profit or not-for-profit), Canadian academic institutions, government bodies, Indigenous communities or governments, and related organizations.

Application

Submit an Expression of Interest through the application portal by 1:00 p.m. ET on December 4, 2025.
