The Refugee Advisory Board (GER-RAB) is a two-year appointment established by the German government to ensure representation of refugees in policy discussions and international forums. It involves 12 representatives who advise the Federal Government on refugee policy and advocate for refugee interests in regional and international settings. Board members receive an expense allowance, training, and support as part of their role.

Eligibility

Must have refugee status, have applied for asylum, or experienced displacement; leadership in refugee-led organizations; able to work in German and English; willing to commit at least five hours per month for 24 months.

Application

Submit application documents (CV, two letters of recommendation, personal statement) in German or English to GER-RAB@bicc.de by 9 September 2024; shortlisted candidates will be interviewed between 23–27 September 2024.
