Microsoft Research Fellowship 2026

The Microsoft Research Fellowship provides opportunities for academic scholars to collaborate with Microsoft Research on open research challenges across disciplines. It brings together academia and industrial researchers to shape the future through open research collaborations and to advance scientific discovery with societal benefit.

Regional stipend funded by Microsoft Research and travel funding to support in-person collaboration with Microsoft Research staff and labs.

Students may submit proposals on their own behalf. Faculty may submit proposals on their behalf and must have a terminal degree. Proposals submitted by eligible postdocs should attest to support from a faculty advisor or department chair.
