Perry World House Lightning Scholar Program 2026-2027

This fellowship program invites untenured, tenure-track faculty from around the world to join Perry World House at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia for a semester or full academic year to work on a major research project or book and to engage with policy-relevant global affairs topics. The program supports scholars in residence with compensation and research funds and offers opportunities to shape workshops and colloquia at Perry World House.

Open to scholars who have either a Ph.D. or equivalent degrees, are standing faculty members at a college or university, and are on the tenure track but still untenured.

Applications must include a cover-letter, three-page proposal, writing sample, CV, a letter of support from the home department/institution, and a confidential letter of recommendation; rolling review beginning December 1, 2025.
