The Science Without Borders Challenge is an international contest that engages students and teachers in ocean conservation through art. The 2026 theme is “Microscopic Marine Life,” encouraging artwork that highlights the role of tiny ocean organisms in marine ecosystems and global health. Winners receive scholarships, including a People’s Choice award, and the competition is organized by the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation.

Eligibility

Open to all students 11-19 years old who are enrolled in primary or secondary school, or the home school equivalent; college and university students are not eligible.

Application

To apply, submit artwork via the online entry form and upload a picture of the artwork before the deadline; parental consent is required if under 13.
