The EU-ASEAN Essay Writing Competition 2025

Participants are invited to submit a 1,200–1,500 word essay exploring how green and digital innovations can shape a sustainable future in the ASEAN context. Shortlisted finalists will travel to Jakarta to present their ideas at a major regional dialogue hosted by EU-ASEAN policymakers. The competition offers a fully funded trip to Jakarta for finalists, plus a certificate and visibility through EU-ASEAN platforms.

Open to ASEAN nationals aged 18–25 who are currently studying at university (undergraduate or postgraduate) and based in any ASEAN country.
