The African Fellows Programme (AFP) provides problem-focused training in Europe for mid-career African scientists. Fellowships support research projects carried out in a partner European research institute or university for typically 6 to 8 months, with aim to develop local scientific capacity relevant to sustainable agricultural production and to benefit small-holder African farmers and the rural economy.
