Information

The EDCTP Career Development Fellowships for Sub-saharan Africans provide early to mid-career researchers with an opportunity to train and develop clinical research skills. The programme aims to help fellows become independent researchers and leaders at host institutions in sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on poverty-related diseases and maternal and child health in the region. Grants are awarded to host organisations to support the fellow's career development and independent research activities for a defined period.

Eligibility

Applicants must be employed by or guaranteed employment by a host organisation in sub-Saharan Africa, and be a PhD graduate or a medical doctor with up to five years of relevant post- doctoral/research experience; proposals require a track record and a career development plan.
