ForestGEO Research Grants

The ForestGEO Research Grants program funds research projects connected to the ForestGEO network of Forest Dynamics Sites. It targets graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career researchers to conduct research using ForestGEO sites, site data, or related data, with projects spanning fieldwork, data analysis, or data generation. Grants support research up to 15,000 USD and study durations range from 3 months to 2 years.

Evaluation criteria emphasize project merit, feasibility, and capacity-building impact.

Applicants are graduate students, postdocs, and early-career researchers (within seven years of PhD) who work directly at a ForestGEO site, analyze site data, or generate data that strengthens ForestGEO programs.

Submit an online information document via Google Forms and a single PDF with a research proposal, CV, budget, timeline, and collaboration details.
