Postgraduate Training Fellowships for Women Scientists from Sub-Saharan Africa and Least Developed Countries (LDC) support female scientists to pursue postgraduate research leading to a doctorate at a centre of excellence in the South. The fellowship targets women graduates from Sub-Saharan Africa and/or LDCs, who wish to conduct research in basic sciences and pursue a doctoral degree at a developing-country host institution outside their own country.

Eligibility

Open to qualified young women science graduates from Sub-Saharan Africa and/or one of the Least Developed Countries, generally below 40 years of age.

Application

Applicants should complete all parts of the application form and enclose copies of university degree certificates and transcripts; if already admitted elsewhere, include the letter of acceptance; if pursuing a sandwich programme, include a letter from the home supervisor.
