The Center for Universal Education at The Brookings Institution is accepting applications for a Global Scholars Program to promote girls’ education in developing countries. Selected guest scholars will conduct independent research on global education issues with a focus on girls’ education, during a 4-month residency, with a living stipend, housing, and travel support.

Benefits

A living stipend of USD 5,000 per month, paid housing for the 4-month term, and round-trip travel expenses are provided.

Eligibility

Applicants should have a background in education, development, economics, or a related area, with at least 15 years of professional experience in either research/academia; non-government and civil society; government; or business.

Application

Submit application materials including an application questionnaire and project proposal, a CV or resume, two writing samples with citations, and two letters of recommendation.
