Deutsche Welle (DW) Traineeship 2027-2028

The Deutsche Welle (DW) Traineeship is an 18-month paid journalism program offered by the international broadcaster. It covers various journalism-related fields and skills through seminars, workshops, and placements in DW editorial offices in Bonn and Berlin, as well as field studios abroad, with opportunities across DW offices worldwide. Participants receive professional training, hands-on experience, and a route toward a potential permanent position with DW.

Be a native speaker of one of DW’s languages with excellent English and good German language skills, or native English speaker with good German language skills, or native German speaker with excellent English language skills; Completed university degree, college degree or apprenticeship; initial journalistic experience; creative mindset and social media expertise; ability to work under deadlines and as part of a team.
