Mediterranean Capitals of Culture and Dialogue 2028

The Mediterranean Capitals of Culture & Dialogue initiative, a joint project of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF), annually designates two cities, one from the northern and one from the southern Mediterranean, as Capitals of Culture and Dialogue. Selected cities will host a year-long programme of events celebrating Euro-Mediterranean diversity and address regional challenges identified by UfM. Eligible cities are those that have not previously held the title and are represented by local or regional authorities from UfM member states.

Cities designated as Capitals of Culture & Dialogue will host a year-long programme of events celebrating Euro-Mediterranean diversity.

Local or regional authorities representing cities in UfM member states (coastal and inland) that have not previously held this title.
