Information

The Young Researcher of the Year Award is an International Transport Forum at OECD competition that recognises outstanding research contributions by young researchers. It invites eligible researchers to submit an original paper under the theme 'Funding Resilient Transport' and to present their work in relation to transport policy. The best author receives a prize and is invited to attend the award ceremony in Leipzig, Germany, during the ITF meeting in May 2026.

Eligibility

Researchers under 35 years of age (born after 1 March 1991) who have undertaken their research at an institution, university or consultancy firm located in a member country of the International Transport Forum.

Application

Submit an original paper as the main author, with a brief English summary (max 200 words); papers must be relevant to transport policy and not exceed 20,000 words (excluding references and appendices).
