The WTO Essay Award for Young Economists invites submissions of research essays on trade policy and international trade cooperation. The award targets early-career researchers who are Ph.D. holders or near completion and under 30 years old.

Benefits

CHF 5,000 prize; potential publication in WTO Working Paper Series; invitation to attend the award ceremony at the ETSG annual meeting in Athens, Greece.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Ph.D. holders or near completion and under 30 years old (or within two years of completing their Ph.D.).

Application

Submit an essay of up to 15,000 words addressing trade policy and international trade cooperation, with the essay and the author's CV provided as separate PDF attachments to essay.award@wto.org.
