Black Mountain Institute Faculty Research Awards 2025-2026

Open call for faculty at UNLV’s College of Liberal Arts, Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, and College of Fine Arts to apply for a research award. Awards are intended to support projects that intersect with Black Mountain Institute’s mission, with funds usable during January–June 2026. Successful applicants will participate in a public program about their research in fall 2026.

Awards of $1,000–$3,000; participation in a public program about the research in fall 2026.

Open to faculty in UNLV’s College of Liberal Arts, the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, and the College of Fine Arts.

Submit a 1–2 page proposal outlining connection to BMI’s mission, a narrative budget, and a CV; questions to the provided email.
