Information

The AU-USDA Scientific Exchanges Program is a 12-week fellowship designed to promote collaboration between AU member countries and the United States in agricultural research. It aims to educate a new generation of agricultural scientists, enhance scientific knowledge, and foster partnerships between home institutions and U.S. host institutions. The program supports research topics related to SPS regulatory regimes and food safety, animal health, and plant health, with participating fellows engaging in US-based training followed by a return-home assignment.

Eligibility

Candidates must be citizens of an African Union member country, hold a Master’s degree or higher with at least two years of practical experience, and be currently employed by a university or research institution in an AU country. English language proficiency is required, and the applicant should intend to continue working in an AU country after the program.
