Cambridge ERA:AI Fellowship 2026

The Cambridge ERA:AI Fellowship is an 8-week research programme hosted in Cambridge, UK, for the winter cohort beginning 2 February 2026. Fellows develop and complete a research project on technical and/or governance measures to mitigate risks posed by frontier AI systems, with support from ERA’s research managers, mentors, and network. The programme offers full funding, accommodation, visa and travel support, expert mentorship, and research resources.

Salary prorated for the duration, accommodation, meals during working hours, visa support, travel expense coverage, expert mentorship, dedicated research management support, and a living-learning environment with desk space and community activities.

PhD students, professionals from adjacent fields (technical or policy), early-career researchers, and individuals with unique perspectives to contribute to AI risk understanding.
