SNAC PhD at Risk Scholarships 2026

The SNAC PhD at Risk Scholarships 2026 provide targeted scholarships to support Sudanese PhD candidates severely affected by war and displacement. Each scholarship may include a stipend of 10,000 Euros. The program aims to prevent interruption of PhD trajectories, enable continuation of research under constrained conditions, and safeguard long-term academic capacity for Sudanese universities.

Applicants must be Sudanese PhD candidates whose studies are demonstrably at risk due to the war; be enrolled at, or formerly affiliated with, a Sudanese or international university; present a realistic plan for continuation of their PhD under current circumstances; female PhD students from marginalized areas are particularly encouraged to apply.

Submit proposals (maximum 4 pages), CVs and supporting documents to snac@cmi.no by August 1, 2026 with the subject line 'SNAC PhD at Risk Scholarship'.
