The program is designed to strengthen partnerships, foster academic exchange, and advance shared research goals. Visiting scholars will be financially covered during their residency, including a lump-sum stipend for logistical expenses.

Eligibility

The Visiting Scholar should have a doctoral degree in a relevant field and reside in the Boston, MA area during the time on campus. The Harvard sponsor must be a Harvard faculty member and the sponsor must provide a work plan and, if needed, a J-1 visa for the visiting scholar.

Application

Submit the required information: name, country of origin, position, CV, 1–2-page narrative describing the research collaboration and justification for travel, and 2 letters of reference (one from home institution and one from the sponsoring Harvard mentor).
