The European Solidarity Corps (ESK) is an EU-funded programme implemented by the OeAD that supports young people to engage in community-beneficial projects and voluntary placements across Europe. It offers opportunities to live and work in nonprofit and community projects for periods of a few months up to a year and supports solidarity projects that run 2 to 12 months. The programme also provides trainings and networking activities for participants and organisations.
Benefits
Participants gain practical experience and valuable competencies for personal and professional development; opportunities include placements in childcare, senior centres, cultural associations and other nonprofit projects.
Eligibility
Young people in Europe can take part in voluntary placements and start solidarity projects; solidarity projects are implemented together with five friends over 2 to 12 months. Trainings are for young people and those who work with youth.
