Chinese Trade Unions Silk Road Scholarship (CTUSRS)

The Chinese Trade Unions Silk Road Scholarship (CTUSRS) is a one-year scholarship for study of the Chinese language in the People's Republic of China. It is intended primarily for trade union officials from countries along the Belt and Road to strengthen exchanges between trade unions and promote cooperation. The scholarship is administered with designated host university Beijing Language and Culture University and funded by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU).

Tuition waiver; university dormitory accommodation; comprehensive medical insurance; monthly stipend; one-time economy-class international round-trip air fare (provided upon completion of study).

Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the PRC (preferably from a Belt and Road country), in sound physical and mental health, hold at least a high school certificate and be under the age of 45; applicants must have at least one year of work experience and not be a concurrent awardee of a Chinese government scholarship.

Prepare required documents and apply through the CSC 'Study in China' portal (CGSIS). Select 'Type A' for Program Category and enter Agency Number '00009' for CTUSRS.
