FIAS Fellowship Programme 2027–2028

The French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS) Fellowship Programme 2027–2028 offers funded fellowships for international researchers to conduct independent research in France for 10 months across disciplines connected with society and human systems. The programme emphasizes academic freedom, interdisciplinary collaboration, and institutional support, with fellows hosted at seven IAS sites in France. It targets researchers at multiple stages, including postdoctoral and senior levels, to strengthen international profiles and collaborations.

Monthly living allowance (approx. €2,200); social security; accommodation support; research and training budget; travel expenses coverage; access to multidisciplinary communities and laboratories.

Open to researchers worldwide, including postdoctoral, mid-career, and senior scientists working in interdisciplinary fields related to SSH, science, technology, health, AI, climate studies, or engineering that intersect with societal issues.
