The CALAS-HIAS Fellowship is a six-month research residency for scholars and cultural professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean, hosted by the Maria Sibylla Merian Center for Advanced Latin American Studies (CALAS) and the Hamburg Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS) in Germany. The residency runs across HIAS in Hamburg and the University of Kassel in 2027, with a stipend and a package of travel and living supports. Eligibility is restricted to nationals of Latin American and Caribbean countries, and applicants must hold a doctoral degree or have equivalent professional standing in the case of outstanding artists or cultural professionals.

Eligibility
